We know childhood is a treasured time. We believe it is our responsibility to provide environments and experiences that capture the joys of childhood, nurture each child’s individual growth and development, and pave the way for success in school and life.

Infants

Personalized care for each infant based on his or her schedule, nutritional guidelines and other special attention he/she requires all while being wrapped in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

6 weeks – 16 months

Toddlers

In our toddler room, we use hands-on exploration and social interaction in a safe, engaging surrounding to help your child learn about his or her world, and of course wrapped up in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

16 – 32 months

Pre-School

There are two preschool options.

The Pre-1 classroom provides an environment where your preschooler can learn a sense of control, play with peers, learn self-help skills and social skills.

The Pre-2 classroom is an environment where your preschooler is strengthening their self-help skills, socialization skills and learning how to be respectful to others

33 months – 4 years

K-Ready

Our K-Ready class ensures that each child is socially, emotionally and academically ready for kindergarten, all while being wrapped in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

4 years – 5 years

School-Age

Our school-age program reinforces the cognitive skills they learn in school, promotes self-esteem, friendship and rules, all while being wrapped in the love and knowledge of Jesus.

Kindergarten – 12 years

School-Age Summer

Our Club-J Summer class offers 12 weeks of summer activities, field trips, and mission work in a Christ centered environment.

Health and Safety

At Little Lambs, we make your child’s health and safety our top priority. Our standards are the highest in the industry, meeting or exceeding all local and state guidelines.

All of our early education and preschool centers include:

Supervision to keep children within sight and sound
Secured entrances
Nightly cleaning of all surfaces including toys, child furnishings, diapering areas, and food spaces
Strict hand-washing and sanitary policies to prevent the spread of germs
Curriculum that emphasizes healthy practices for children

What time do you open/close?

Monday through Friday
6:30 am to 6:00 pm

If Elk River Schools are closed because of severe weather, our center will open at 7:30 am.

Little Lambs is CLOSED on the following Holidays:

New Year’s Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
July 4th
Labor Day
Thanksgiving & the Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
2 Staff Development Days

If a holiday falls on a weekend, the center will close either the Friday before the holiday or the Monday following a holiday. No discounts in tuition will be given on weeks that include a holiday.

Two In-Service Staff development days will be granted to all childcare and preschool employees. Training provides the best service to each child that enters Little Lambs. No discount on tuition will be given on these days.

What are the allergy policies?

Peanut-free Center

Little Lambs is a peanut-free environment. Foods that contain or may contain peanuts are not allowed in our center. *Please read food labels carefully.

Dietary Modification Policy:

Please inform the director and your child’s teacher in writing of any food allergies or special requests your child may have or need which may require they bring their own breakfast or lunch from home.

Dietary modification because of special dietary needs shall be made under the direction of a licensed health care provider. Written permission from the child’s parent/legal guardian and the child’s licensed health care provider is required. Dietary modifications for religious or personal reasons require only written parent/guardian permission.

All meals need to follow the MN department of Education food nutritional guidelines.

What meals are offered at Little Lambs?

Central Lutheran Church employs a cook daily and maintains a state food license. A nutritional breakfast and lunch are prepared in the Family Life Center Kitchen and served there, or in individual classrooms. Daily snacks are provided for all childcare classes. All meals are cooked at the church and are in accordance with Minnesota Department of Education/Food and Nutrition Services. Menus are published monthly and are available from your child’s teacher.

What kind of snacks can we bring for Preschool?

Preschool Program Snack Sign-Up:
A snack calendar for each preschool program class will be posted and you can choose to sign up for any day and any theme. Foods must be produced and packaged in a commercial kitchen.

How do I receive reports from my child's classroom?

Our teachers use Brightwheel, an easy-to-use mobile app for recording and tracking daily events and activities in the classroom and managing administrative tasks. As a parent, you’ll get private, real-time updates on your child delivered to
your mobile device throughout the day.

Can I pay tuition online?

Yes! We use the Brightwheel mobile app to provide paperless billing for parents.

Brightwheel offers secure online billing for receiving invoices and receipts for tuition and Little Lambs events! Parents can even opt for recurring billing via their mobile devices.
