Our Curriculum

At Little Lambs, we believe children learn best through meaningful play, hands-on experiences, and positive relationships. Our curriculum is designed to support the whole child socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, spiritually, and academically while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Working together, self-directed play, outdoor exploration, faith-based learning, and healthy meals are all important parts of each child’s day. Through developmentally appropriate activities and guided discovery, children build confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, and respect for others.

Our classrooms feature nine learning centers that encourage exploration, creativity, and growth:

Art – Encourages creativity, self-expression, and fine motor development through a variety of hands-on materials and projects.

Sensory – Provides opportunities for children to explore textures, sounds, sights, and movement while developing cognitive and problem-solving skills.

Blocks – Promotes spatial awareness, creativity, teamwork, and early engineering concepts through building and construction activities.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) – Inspires curiosity and critical thinking through experiments, exploration, and hands-on discovery.

Language & Literacy – Builds communication, vocabulary, listening skills, and a love for books and storytelling.

Manipulatives – Strengthens fine motor skills, coordination, problem-solving, and early math concepts through hands-on materials and games.

Large Motor – Develops strength, balance, coordination, and healthy physical activity through movement and active play.

Music & Movement – Encourages self-expression, rhythm, coordination, and joyful participation through songs, dancing, and musical activities.

Dramatic Play – Supports imagination, social skills, language development, and cooperative play as children explore real-world roles and experiences.

Through these engaging learning experiences, children develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed for future success while growing in a loving, faith-centered environment rooted in God’s love.
